History Of Land Rover

Land Rover is one of the established companies in the world.
 Let's look at the Land Rover's continues to progress until today.


In 1948

The first vehicle produced by Land Rover Auto Show in the Amsterdam on April 30
exhibited. This tool is the 80 "chassis, permanent four-wheel drive, canvas roof
and, optionally, the doors can be had. However, within the three months
doors were manufactured as a standard. In October, the first
station wagon model was launched.

In 1955

The first long-chassis (107'') took place in car production. Short chassis model'' of the 86 had a new chassis.

In 1956

Ranges of both long-chassis vehicles  axle 2 "has been increase (88'' and 109''), and these vehicles became known as a Series II. Series I, of course, before this date, called the vehicles.

In 1970

Range Rover with a 2-door and 3.5  liter V8 engine was launched.


In 1982

Much more refined interior design with a Land Rover "County" station wagon was released.
Range Rover 3-speed automatic transmission option is being offered.

In 1988


Land Rover 4 was awarded the royal rigging. In August 11 1988 Rover Group was acquired by British Aerospace.

In 1991
4-door Discovery was launched in Europe.
Range Rover was launched with  Electronic Air Suspension (EAS).

In 1994
February: BMW, bought Rover Group.
In october: The first 25 years after the start of production in a completely new model Range Rover was launched in Europe.

In 1997
Freelander was launched.

In 1998
 
Discovery Series II was introduced.

In 2000

BMW sold Land Rover to Ford Motor Company. Group'unun Land Rover was part of Ford's PAG.





In 2001

The new Range Rover introduced. 
3 million 'th Land Rover is produced.

In 2004

The first Land Rover Range Stormer concept vehicle, exhibited at the Detroit and Geneva motor shows.
Discovery 3 we started to sell.

In 2005

The fifth member of the family Land Rover Range Rover Sport was launched.
